Cedar Point Amusement Park is known for its incredible world-class roller coasters and its endless rides and attractions for families and other guests. The amusement park is also a top-notch destination for entertainment and culinary experiences.
We were lucky enough to attend Cedar Point Frontier Festival last season. The inaugural event included mouth-watering bites, craft beers, seltzers and signature cocktails, games, shopping, live music, and something for everyone to enjoy. Not only was the Frontier Festival an undeniable success but it also raised money for an important cause — The Prayers From Maria Foundation.
The Frontier Festival returns to Cedar Point for this season, running May 25 – June 18, 2023. Here’s a look at what to expect at Cedar Point Frontier Festival 2023, ticket options, and tips for having a great time at the amusement park.

Cedar Point Frontier Festival 2023
Frontier Festival is a special event held at Cedar Point Amusement Park. The festival runs May 25 – June 18, 2023. You must purchase a Festival ticket to attend the event. Cedar Point admission is not included with Frontier Festival tickets.
Frontier Festival takes place in Frontier Town, which is home to rides like Steel Vengeance, Maverick, and Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Frontier Town is also home to one of our favorite park restaurants, The Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill.
Cedar Point’s Frontier Festival features one-of-a-kind culinary delicacies, signature adult beverages, live bands, characters, games, shopping, and other entertainment.
Cedar Point Frontier Festival Hours
Frontier Festival runs from 12 PM – 8 PM every day from May 25th to June 18th, 2023.
Cedar Point Frontier Festival Food
I kid you not when I say that you won’t find the unique food offerings available at the Frontier Festival anywhere else. The 2022 Frontier Festival menu features several cherry-inspired dishes and desserts. The theme for the Frontier Festival menu in 2023 is corn, and the menu will feature several corn-inspired dishes and desserts. Some of the dishes you’ll find on this year’s Frontier Festival menu include:
- Elote Sweet Corn Quesadilla
- Chicken OR Beef Walking Tacos
- Savory Corn Fritters
- Charred Corn & Chorizo Flatbread
- Sweet Corn Cheesecake Squares
- Corn Ice Cream with butterscotch and caramel corn topping
The Frontier Festival 6 and 10 tasting cards offer a quick and easy way to sip and savor your way around mouth-watering foods and spirits in Frontier Town! Enjoy a wide selection of craft beers and seltzers to quench your thirst then tempt your taste buds with an ear-resistible menu of sweet, savory and smoked corn-inspired dishes and desserts. From corn fritters to quesadillas and pierogis, there’s something for everyone.
Frontier Festival tickets come with a select number of tasting cards you can redeem at food stands around Frontier Town for whatever you want to sample. You can purchase additional tasting cards inside the Festival if you want more.
Cedar Point Frontier Festival Entertainment
There’s no denying that the food is the star of the show at Frontier Festival, but Cedar Point does a tremendous job of going all out with entertainment at this and other special events at the park.
Frontier Festival is a family-friendly event with something for kids and adults of all ages. Don’t be surprised if you see Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang walking around Frontier Town. The citizens of Frontier Town provide entertainment and live music throughout the event. The Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill is the perfect spot to sit and listen and sing along as you dine on Festival treats.
There’s plenty for kids to do, with games set up around Frontier Town, like a scavenger hunt, Stick Horse Racing Pig Pen’s Toss Relay, and Snoopy’s Corn-on-the-Cob Eating Contest.

Another feature of the Frontier Festival is Artisan Square, where you’ll find local artisans, crafters and exclusive Festival merchandise.

Cedar Point offers several Taste Card options and bundles for the Frontier Festival this year. Each Frontier Festival Ticket comes with different benefits and price points. The pricing below does not include applicable

- 2023 Frontier Festival Tasting Card ($59.99): Includes a 10-Ticket Tasting Card.

- 2023 Frontier Festival After 4 PM Bundle ($44.99): Includes After 4 PM admission and a 3-Ticket Tasting Card.
- 2023 Frontier Festival Resort Package (Starting at $95): The resort package includes an overnight stay at a Cedar Point resort, 1-day admission for each guest on the reservation, a 10-Taste Card to share, unlimited fountain beverages, early entry to Cedar Point, and length of stay parking. Staying on property at a Cedar Point resort is a great way to save money at Cedar Point, especially if you’re visiting the park multiple days. Plus, resort guests get exclusive perks like discounted park tickets, early entry, free parking, and free in-park fountain drinks.
What Is Prayers From Maria?
The Prayers From Maria Foundation is a local non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and research funding to fight childhood cancer. Prayers From Maria is near and dear to Northeast Ohio and is the official community partner of Frontier Festival.
While you’re at the Frontier Festival, stop by the Prayers From Maria booth near Town Hall to learn more about how they are fighting for a cure for childhood cancer and to make a donation.
You can learn more about the foundation at the Prayers From Maria website. Watch Maria’s story, which was featured on The Today Show.
You can also visit Maria’s Field of Hope when in blossom, to see the Sunflower fields that pay tribute to Maria and others who have or are battling childhood cancer. Maria’s Field of Hope has two locations — one in Avon, Ohio and one along Cedar Point Drive, near Cedar Point’s Express Hotel.
Tips For Visiting Cedar Point Amusement Park
Cedar Point is one of our favorite travel destinations, whether it’s for a day, a weekend or for the events like the Frontier Festival. Check out our tips below for a successful Cedar Point trip.
Download the App
Cedar Point’s mobile app is absolutely essential when you’re inside the park. It features helpful tools like mobile food ordering, ride wait times, and a car finder so you never forget where you park. The Cedar Point mobile app is free to download and use and is available for iOS and Android.
Take advantage of services for families
Cedar Point offers several services to help parents and families when visiting the park. Services include parent swap for park rides, two family care centers, and KidTrack, which helps reunite separated children and parents.
If you’re not sure if your child meets height requirements, you can visit the Guest Height Check Kiosk, located near Guest Services within the park for an official height check. Your child will get a wristband based on their height. This saves time having their height checked at every ride and attraction.
Stay hydrated
It can get hot during the summer at Cedar Point. Drink lots of water. Cedar Point doesn’t allow you to bring food into the park (except for special dietary needs). You may be able to bring in unopened plastic water bottles. All bags are subject to inspection. You can get free cups of water and most park concession stands. There are also drinking fountains located near most restrooms in the park.
Bring a debit or credit card
Cedar Point operates on a cashless system. You’ll need a debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay for anything within Cedar Point or Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. Check out our complete Cedar Point guide for more details on the cashless system and other park information.
Designate a Checkpoint
Choose a spot for your family to meet up if you split up during your visit or get separated. Advise your kids to seek help immediately from a Cedar Point staff member if they get separated.
Consider a Dining Plan
Cedar Point offers several dining and beverage plans that can save your family money while enjoying restaurants and other dining options within Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores.
Visit The Boardwalk
Cedar Point recently added a new midway area called The Boardwalk. The area features an awesome new family-friendly roller coaster called Wild Mouse. You’ll find several other rides and attractions along the Boardwalk, including The Grand Pavilion, a new eatery and upper-level bar with views of the Lake Erie Shoreline. It’s the perfect spot to catch your breath and grab a bite during your park visit.

Get A Season Pass
If you’re planning to visit Cedar Point multiple times during the season, becoming a season ticketholder will save you considerable money and give you access to exclusive passholder perks. There are several Cedar Point season passes available depending on your needs. Most season passes will pay for themselves in a few visits.

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day. So, my son’s school is visiting next Wednesday and I’m a chaperone. Unfortunately, I’ve recently had 10 spinal surgeries and need to be able to sit down and cool off on occasion. Do you have any areas in Cedar Point like this for parents? Thanks!
Hi Laura, we’ve dealt with spine surgeries in our family, so we completely understand. The best places to cool off at Cedar Point at at restaurants with indoor seating. There is a Starbucks with indoor seating located on the right side of the main midway. Towards the back of the park, try Miss Keat’s Smokehouse or The Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill. In the middle of the park is Coasters Diner. Probably the best place to cool off and sit is Cedar Points newest dining option, Cedar Point Grand Pavilion & Bar, located right next to the Big Wheel and Wild Mouse. It’s great for indoor or outdoor seating. Plus, it has awesome views of the beach and Lake Erie.
There are several shaded areas in Frontier Town that are great to cool off and people watch. There are probably more indoor seating areas that I’m missing, but that should give you several options to start. Download the Cedar Point app to view the map and located these places.
