Cedar Point is one of the most entertaining amusement parks on the planet. From roller coasters and thrilling attractions to live entertainment, dining, and overnight accommodations, Cedar Point has it all.

The park’s fun extends in the fall with HalloWeekends. The annual special event is a favorite among park guests and horror enthusiasts. HalloWeekends offers not-so-scary activities and events for families and more terrifying scares and experiences for older guests.

Here’s a closer look at what to expect this year during HalloWeekends at Cedar Point Amusement Park

What Is Cedar Point HalloWeekends?

HalloWeekends is Cedar Point’s long-standing fall and Halloween-themed special event. It takes place on select nights toward the end of Cedar Point’s operating season, starting mid-September and ending around Halloween.  (opens in a new tab)

The special event features family-friendly activities and entertainment for families and younger guests to enjoy. HalloWeekends offers plenty of scares and thrills for more mature guests. You’ll find indoor haunted house-style mazes, outdoor scare zones, monsters and more. Don’t forget about access to your favorite Cedar Point rides and attractions. The park is covered in festive Halloween and Fall decorations that set the mood.

HalloWeekends Map And Guide

Want to know where to go in the park for all of the ghoulish fun? Cedar Point just released a HalloWeekends park map and guide that highlights specifically where to find all of the HalloWeekends attractions. The event guide also lists times and locations for nightly live entertainment throughout the park.

Cedar Point HalloWeekends Tickets

HalloWeekends Tickets are available online through Cedar Point’s website. Ticket costs for HalloWeekends vary depending on the day you visit. HalloWeekends Admission ranges from $49.99 to $79.99 per person (plus tax).

HalloWeekends Bundles are also available for select dates (No Thursdays) throughout the event and include admission, parking, and all-day dining. HalloWeekends Bundle prices range from $69.99 to $104.99 per person (plus tax).

Season passholders can purchase up to six HalloWeekends Bring-A-Friend Tickets starting at $24.99 per person (plus tax).

HalloWeekends Fright Lane passes

HalloWeekends Fright Lane passes are also available, ranging from $50 to $90 per person (plus tax). These passes give you shorter wait times for all indoor haunted mazes and the Cornstalkers 2.0 scare zone.

HalloWeekends No Boo Necklace

It’s common during HalloWeekends to see monsters and ghouls lurking around the outdoor scare zones, occasionally scaring park guests. For younger children and those who prefer to avoid these scary interactions, you can purchase a No Boo Necklace. As long as you wear the necklace while walking through the outdoor scare zones, you’ll encounter fewer interactions with monsters. Note that the necklaces do not apply on any mazes or indoor scare zones at HalloWeekends.

No Boo Necklaces are available for redemption starting September 14th and cost $15.99 per person (plus tax)

Get Access to HalloWeekends with a Cedar Point Season Pass

You can score unlimited HalloWeekends access for free by purchasing a Cedar Point season pass. It looks like Cedar Point has simplified its season pass offerings for the 2024 season. Cedar Point currently offers three pass options — the Gold Pass, Prestige Pass, and Summer Pass. Pricing and pass benefits vary between the two passes.

Cedar Point recently announced the All Park Passport. Instead of selling additional season pass types, which was confusing, the park offers the All Park Passport, an add-on feature you can purchase with your Gold or Prestige Pass. As the name suggests, the All Park Passport gives you access to all parks in the Cedar Fair family. The addition of the All Park Passport eliminates the Platinum Pass, which it previously offered, and could help you save money at Cedar Point
