On August 10th, 2023, Kings Island Amusement Park and Cedar Fair announced that it was expanding its award-winning kids’ area, Camp Snoopy. The park announced Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, a new roller coaster, would be added to the family-friendly area for the 2024 season, along with other new additions to Camp Snoopy.
We’re huge fans of Kings Island. Our kids are teens now and probably not as interested in Camp Snoopy, but the updated kids’ area will surely be a hit among families visiting the amusement park for years to come.

Kings Island 2024 Updates
Kings Island recently announced that it was expanding its popular kids’ area, Camp Snoopy, including the addition of a new roller coaster and play space. Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect with both park updates in 2024.
Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers
New in 2024 at Kings Island is Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, the park’s 16th roller coaster. It’s also the park’s 5th family-friendly coaster. Soap Box Racers is a family-friendly boomerang coaster. The ride’s theming honors the Ohio-born tradition of soap box derby racing.
Park guests will race down the same track forward and backward. Despite its placement within Camp Snoopy, I have a feeling that even older guests will enjoy the new coaster.
Beagle Scout Acres
Beagle Scout Acres is a new nature-themed play area within Camp Snoopy. The new play area allows kids and families to explore unique play structures resembling camping gear. Beagle Scout Acres features interactive elements, activities, and areas for parents to relax and catch their breath (or enjoy some blue ice cream).
Here’s an excerpt from the park’s recent press release describing the family-friendly park area:
“Camp Snoopy is just what families visiting Kings Island have been looking for,” said Mike Koontz, vice president and general manager of Kings Island. “We’ve designed this new immersive area to feel like a day at camp where families can spend time with each other in a variety of ways, from the thrill of a new coaster to exploring and relaxing in the great outdoors with their favorite Peanuts characters.”
I grew up with Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts family, so I’m excited to see the new updates in 2024. Our Cedar Point season passes give us admission into all Cedar Fair parks during the season, including Kings Island. It’s one of our favorite pass perks! You can also buy Kings Island season passes through the park’s website, with different offerings to fit your budget.
